Dorothy Jean Root, 82, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at home. She was born on June 21, 1937, the daughter of Ruth Rouzer.
Jean married and became one with the love of her life, Belmont on July 23, 1960 at the Battle Creek Bible Church, and they will be laid to rest as one. Jean worked many years as a nurse at different medical facilities and helped many people throughout her years.
Jean is survived by her Children, Timothy Root, Lisa (David) Pook, Eloys (John) Kornoelje, 5 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren, Two Sisters, Connie and Bonnie. She was preceded in death by her Parents and Husband, Belmont Root.
Jean enjoyed spending her time sewing, she would make clothes and quilts for many of her relatives. She also enjoyed traveling and seeing different states with her family. Her main passion in life however, were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves her memory for all to cherish.
